If You Think You're Groovy…

Safari has supported HTML5s new elements for like 1000 years. Now Opera (9.5) and Firefox (3) have joined the game. I've heard about this other browser that still doesn’t support these new elements, but I find it hard to believe that fact is interesting to anyone. From now on any new browser released not supporting at least <header>, <section>, <nav> and <footer> should be considered inconsiderable.

You don’t even move me…

I think it was Madlib (or maybe it was Quasimoto…) who said, “You ain’t gotta go away mad, just go away.” Internet Explorer 6 is officially un-supported in this and all future versions. I was just re-reading the Research-Based Web Design & Usability Guidelines book and found again the 95% target rule. Over the past few months IE6 users have been steadily declining (despite previous efforts to support it). On 01 June 2008, IE6 finally hit the sweet spot, 4%. Me testing IE8 accounts for another < 1% (I refuse to believe normal people are using IE8).

p.s. damn it, someone needs to get a real markdown filter into Radiant, BlueCloth is a fucking joke.turns out someone has made a real markdown filter for Radiant.
