No version of Firefox 3 runs on my Mac Pro. They used to (all the pre-alphas, the alphas, the pre-beta, the betas). Then one day it started using about one gigabyte of real RAM and then it crashed. Then it never ran again. Firefox 2 still runs but it’s like trying to ride an elderly person in marathon; really, really slow.

I had, in fact, been waiting for (a year for) Firefox 3 so that I could move from Webkit nightly builds as my primary browser back into Mozilla land. Instead, I guess I’ll have to boot up yet another VM with Windows XP and stuff Firefox 3 in there with the rest of those browsers I’m not able to run natively.

rc1 seems to run. hooray mozilla!
